Hi, this is one of the many places I work. My title here at the law firm of Gallagher and Gallagher is "Forensic Animation Director". Here I create 3D animations and incorporate them into Powerpoint court presentations. Specializing in environmental law, most of my work consists of recreating things or places that don't exist anymore (like a mountain in Northern California), things on a grand scale (like a proposed 108 million ton capacity landfill) or an abstract theory or correlation (like comparing the build up of industrial sites to changing global politics.)

Hardware
Behind me you see a dual 200mhz Pentium Pro workstation running Windows NT 4.0(sp3). It has 128 mb ram, 10 gb hard drive space, scsi zip drive and a Diamond FireGL 3000 video card. The Diamond video card has 40 mb of ram, accelerates openGL and drives 2 17" Panasonic monitors as one desktop at 2048 by 768 pixels.
Software
My main 3d package of choice is Lightwave 5.6. For terrain modelling and animation I use World Construction Set v.3. Other software I use (in no particular order) Adobe's Photoshop 4, Premiere 4 & AfterEffects 3.1. Ulead's Morph Studio. Hash's Animation Master (AM98). Microsoft's PowerPoint. Check the 'Links' section for links to these and other software manufacturers.
